The local manufacturing process

We source and manufacture our furniture in the areas of Seminyak, Bali and Jepara in Java. These are historically villages of traditional furniture craftsmanship, and the process has changed little over the years. Handmade techniques that are no longer used in the western world are still employed here, this is combined with the best techniques of modern furniture manufacturing to produce unique and timeless pieces of exceptional quality.

A large range of wood is used in Indonesia including teak , merbau , mahogany, rattan, nyantoh and bamboo. These all come with an official document from the governing body stipulating that the wood has been obtained legally and not through blackmarket logging. The furniture can be finished and veneered in any colour of your choosing. Alternatively your order can be shipped to you raw and unfinished to be completed at the destination.

Our products are not mass produced goods, but rather individually handcrafted objects created by skilled carpenters who use techniques that have been handed down in their families from generation to generation. If you are furnishing a large hotel or restaurant we can also supply large quantities of quality furniture within two months.

Our craftsmen and BALIDECO take great pride in our products and one of our main priorities is to enforce strict quality control throughout. BALIDECO accomplishes this through close cooperation and communication with our suppliers throughout the entire process.
